Deathland beat Lynchburg at Hornets Nest, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Damien Magnifico, who earned player of the game honors. Magnifico got the win, improving to 13-4. He allowed 7 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. Magnifico allowed no earned runs. Jordan Walden got the save, his 32nd in 39 chances.

Kris Bryant, who is tied for 7th in the EL in home runs with 34, aided the Deathland cause with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4 with a home run.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Lynchburg manager Greg Stern. "The effort was great."

The Weresloths bumped their record to 82-50 with this latest triumph.
