Boomers Reel Off Another Win
Berkeley catcher Austin Allen had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-6, to New Vegas at Dodger Stadium. Allen went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Zack Burdi earned his 9th save in 11 chances. The third-place Boomers have won 7 in a row.

Mallex Smith, who is tied for 9th in the EL in stolen bases with 26, chipped in for New Vegas with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
