Atlantic City and Durham duked it out at Durham Bulls Athletic Park and the Illuminati came out victorious.
The Atlantic City Illuminati defeated the Durham Bull Artists, 5-2, in Fantasy Baseball League of Doom action at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, with Atlantic City pitcher Nick Kingham named player of the game. Kingham, the winner, moves to 11-11. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks.
In the top of the eighth inning, center fielder Jake Fraley came through big-time for the Illuminati. With Atlantic City leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Kingham.
With the win, Atlantic City goes to 67-58, while the Bull Artists fall to 56-69.
