The Canadien Donkey Riders relied on the hitting of right fielder Michael Gettys to stop the Pawtucket Red Sox, 6-4. For the game, Gettys was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The third-place Donkey Riders lifted their record to 59-67.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when left fielder Demi Orimoloye drew a walk. The Donkey Riders went on to win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Orimoloye told the Canadien Chronicle.
